2024: Product Announcement

At the end of March 2024, Migo Robotics began selling the world's first robot vacuum cleaner capable of overcoming flights of stairs. The novelty, called Ascender, can both go down and up the steps.

The feature of Ascender is a unique design with rotary side blocks. Upon detecting the ladder, the robot raises or lowers its main block above the step, pushes it forward, and then moves the side modules. The maximum lift height is 22 cm. Thus, Ascender is able to clean houses with several floors or in multi-tiered apartments without human help.

The robot can perform dry and wet cleaning. When first turned on, it draws up a map of the dwelling, after which it forms the most effective scheme for cleaning premises. The equipment includes various sensors, including a high-resolution camera and lidar. An integrated computer with artificial intelligence algorithms has a performance of 5 Tflops.

Ascender is equipped with tanks for clean and dirty water, as well as a garbage compartment. They are automatically emptied when the vacuum cleaner returns to the base station after cleaning and/or depleting the storage of energy in the batteries. The capacity of the power supply is 12,000 mA·ch, which is said to be enough to clean rooms with a total area of up to 500 square meters. If the batteries run out in the middle of the process, Ascender will recharge them and continue cleaning from the stop point. A companion app for iOS and Android allows users to set cleaning schedules, block access to specific rooms and even remotely control the robot using a joystick. The price of new items as of March 2024 is approximately $1,500.[1]
