2024: Introduction of a cloud-based hardware accounting and control system

Specialists of NRU "MPEI" have developed an intelligent cloud system for accounting and automated control of devices and equipment. The peculiarity of the developed system lies in digital document management and data transfer through the cloud platform between different departments. The university announced this on March 29, 2024.

The principle of operation of the software complex is based on the interaction of the chatbot with a database containing information about the equipment. To reduce the time for searching for the necessary information, a system is provided for generating QR codes that refer to cloud storage and are glued to device bodies. To monitor the condition of the equipment and control important dates related to verification or certification, an algorithm for sending notifications is provided.

{{quote 'One of the priority directions of domestic industry development is to increase its reliability, which is achieved through automation and digitalization of technological processes. Effective control and accounting of equipment is an important logistic task of an industrial and scientific enterprise. Our scientists managed to develop a universal intelligent cloud system for accounting and control of equipment, which uses advanced technologies of industrial Internet of Things systems and provides the necessary level of automation of enterprise logistics. The developed complex can cover a wide range of industries in Russia and become a key addition to existing solutions, - said Nikolai Rogalev, rector of MPEI. }}

The development was carried out for the tasks of metrological laboratories and research centers, where the quality and reliability of research and experiments directly depends on the accuracy of measurements, which is achieved using timely verification and calibration of instruments. In addition to research centers, companies operating in the electronic industry, where metrological equipment is used to check the quality of manufactured products and elements of the electronic component base, showed their interest in the results of the project.

The developed software product is a step towards digitalization and automation of monitoring of measuring instruments and calibration of equipment of Industry 4.0 industrial complexes .

The domestic software complex for accounting and control of equipment was developed by employees of the Department of Fundamentals of Radio Engineering of the National Research University "MPEI" under the guidance of the so-called, associate professor Vladislav Krutskikh.
