In early April 2024, the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (CDC) announced the development of the Peak tower to protect the ships of the Navy, as well as the infrastructure of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and airfields from enemy drones.

According to TASS with reference to the Director General of the Central Control Bureau Dmitry Kuzyakin, the tower is a long-distance digital communication complex that provides stable communication between the pilot and the drone. The device is part of the FPV-calculation system of ground equipment.

The "peak" is installed on the towers of command and control centers of airfields and masts of ships to ensure stable communication so that the pilot of the FPV-drone can fly far from the ship or inside the airfield, Kuzyakin said.

According to him, the devices have an armored cable 100 meters long, which binds ground equipment with an antenna. The "Peak" is completely controlled from the ground using the remote control. The device does not need to be dismantled in order to make any changes to the settings, said the head of the CCBR. He also said that this tower, including created in order to protect the drone operator.

The CCBR, based in Zhukovsky near Moscow, is the basic organization of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky. The center develops and manufactures FPV drones, trains specialists and works only with law enforcement agencies. The CCBR is on self-sufficiency, TASS points out.[1]
