During inspections of the station on March 29, 2024, IAEA experts found no problems with nuclear safety. At the same time, it is noted that explosions were heard daily at different distances from the nuclear power plant.

On March 22, 2024, one of the two electric lines supplying the station was disconnected at the ZPP, on the same day it was restored.

The website of the Zaporizhzhya NPP reports that by April 2024, the reactor plant of unit No. 5 is the only one in a state of "hot shutdown."
