2024: Implementation "1C: Printing 2. Module for 1C:ERP "

On April 8, 2024, the company 1C"" announced that the specialists ARMEX"" automated the work of flexotypography Sunrise"" - one of the main manufacturers of the label St. Petersburg in and in. Northwestern Federal District The unified information system based on "" 1C:ERP along with "" 1C: Printing 2. Module for 1C:ERP helped to optimize the calculation of orders, strengthen control over costs and profitability. Production planning, order dispatching, and equipment downtime forecasting use models (, machine learning ML Machine Learning) to create an optimal production plan and quickly adjust it for urgent orders, line loading, and other factors. As a result, a more uniform production load was ensured, downtime was reduced, orders were completed 25% faster, production cost decreased by 7%.

As reported, the Sunrise flexographic printing house specializes in the production of shrink, self-adhesive, circular, digital and other types of labels. As of April 2024, the production complex of the printing house includes more than 10 units of modern printing and finishing equipment. The company is also a manufacturer of tatoo labels.

Previously, an outdated program was used to calculate, execute and maintain orders in the printing house. It was not centralized storage information about orders and customers, there were often errors in production planning, it was almost impossible to quickly assess the preliminary cost and profitability of the order.

The company needs an information system, which would allow to optimize production planning, organize accurate accounting in the warehouse, would ensure quick and correct calculation of orders, helped to optimize control over all stages of production, reduced the influence of the human factor, ensured the maximum informativeness and accumulation of statistics.

To implement the tasks, the industry solution "1C: Polygraphy 2. Module for 1C : ERP. " The implementation partner was the developer of the system - the company "Armex."

The main results of the project:

  • Order settlement is automated. To do this, all technological operations are normalized by time and cost. Information on the cost of consumables is recorded and promptly updated in the system. The time that managers spend on costing has been reduced. Orders are 30% more quickly agreed with customers and transferred to production.
  • It became possible to control the cost of production even at the stage of preliminary settlement of orders. The system has a minimum permissible level of profitability, which ensures that the profitability of each order is maintained and completely eliminates the possibility of loss for the company. The cost of production decreased by 7%. You have set up accounting for the nomenclature, equipment, tag accounting for materials and finished products according to various analytical characteristics: materials, products. For the issued item, a system is implemented for storing and searching links to layouts and images. As a result, each employee has access to only those layouts with which he works, and the time spent on finding the necessary information has been reduced.
  • Automated monitoring of the status of technological resources and registration of fact by performers using bar code scanners and touch monitors. This helped to establish the production of semi-finished products and finished products, effectively work with shift planning.
  • Mechanisms using Machine Learning (ML) tools have been implemented:
    • Recommendation system for building an optimal production plan;
    • order dispatching system;
    • mechanism for automatic forecasting of equipment downtime.

  • This toolkit allows you to create a flexible production schedule in which you can quickly embed urgent orders and make other necessary adjustments. The coordination of the work of production personnel has been optimized: employees always know which order to hire. All this ensured an even load of production lines and made it possible to plan production both for the near future and in the long term.

For me, as a director, the main task was to establish effective management accounting in order to understand where we are at a particular moment in time and where we are moving from the point sight of view of economic indicators. As of April 2024, these issues have been adjusted, and I was once again convinced that in 1C there are extremely flexible and wide opportunities for setting up and adapting management reporting. Business automation has helped us a lot with bottlenecks: the lack of internal logistics and communication between production, office and warehouse. The entire business is conducted in one information system, which is very convenient for all employees. I will especially note the production management system, with which I can quickly get on to the analyst the production of employees and equipment, labor, revenue and profit, to conduct a plan-factual analysis of these indicators.
