Education

In 2009 he graduated from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, where he studied at the Department of Theoretical and Experimental Physics of Nuclear Reactors

In 2013 he graduated from the Central Aerological Observatory (CAO) - a research institute, one of the leading scientific, methodological and research institutions as part of the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (Roshydromet).

Career

2007-2016

From 2007 to 2016 worked as a senior researcher at the Central Aerological Observatory.

2014-2018

From 2014 to 2018 Alexander Ganshin worked as technical director of the environmental startup Aerostate, which is engaged in the creation of physical and mathematical models to describe urban development and the air composition of megacities, as well as a user product based on them.

In 2014, he also began his career at Yandex.

2024: Appointment as CEO of Yandex.Traffic

Alexander Ganshin has been appointed CEO of Yandex.Traffic. The corresponding entry appeared in the service "Kontur. Focus" on April 8, 2024.

The first to replace the head of Yandex.Traffic LLC was the publication RB.ru. It notes that previously the CEO of the company was Natalya Timofeeva, who held this position since December 2022.

In addition to the post of general director of Yandex.Traffic LLC, Alexander Ganshin also remains the head of the Yandex.Weather service by April 10, 2024. By this date, the Yandex.Traffic platform, headed by Ganshin, operates in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey. The service allows you to receive information about traffic jams in real time.
