All types of bank guarantees in favor of the tax authorities in Sberbank have become electronic: neither the client nor the bank needs to waste time on obtaining a paper copy. The bank announced this on April 12, 2024. Moreover, such guarantees are now sent to the Federal Tax Service not by the client, but by the bank, and this significantly speeds up the time of their issuance. Technological interaction with the Federal Tax Service is carried out using the platform for digital document management SberKorus, a subsidiary of Sber.

Thanks to the use of a machine-readable power of attorney, you do not need to confirm the fact of issuing a guarantee and provide a power of attorney for the signatory. To bring these innovations to life, the bank centralized the internal processes of signing and sending guarantees in a single operational center.

Sber issued the first tax guarantee under such a mechanism to URAL METALWORKING COMPANY LLC through the digital credit process in SberBusiness. The bank sent an electronic guarantee to the Federal Tax Service, and the client sent an application and declaration for VAT refunds. As a result, the company received a refund from the Federal Tax Service to an account in Sberbank after 4 working days.
