SPC Akron Engineering is switching to the Russian platform for the design of production facilities

2024: Transition to domestic software

LLC SPC Akron Engineering (part of the Akron Group), as part of the replacement of foreign software, is switching to Russian software for the design of production facilities of the Akron Group, which was announced by the latter on April 10, 2024.

The designers of the research and design center use the implemented information modeling tools, and BIM managers adapt Model Studio CS vertical solutions based on nanoCAD to the organization's regulations and regulatory requirements, and develop libraries of 3D components to create an information model.

In addition, a shared data environment (CDE) with access rights was created, which received two-way integration with the corporate PDM system IPS Search and the ERP system of the Akron Group ISA. The shared data environment provides cross-disciplinary work for departments based on the CadLib solution. Previously developed information models are converted to the specifics of the implemented software.

We continue to introduce information modeling technologies on all life cycles of the project, which ensures coordinated work both within the organization and when working with subcontractors and CIW companies, said Andrey Kolosovsky, CEO of Akron Engineering SPC.
