2024: Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delo Group Sergey Shishkarev announced the purchase of the Korsakov port

Russian businessman and chairman of the board of directors of the Delo group of companies Sergei Shishkarev in April 2024 announced the purchase of the port of Korsakov on Sakhalin. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Sergei Shishkarev in April 2024 announced the purchase of the port of Korsakov on Sakhalin

According to him, the cargo turnover of the port of Korsakov is 2 million tons, and by 2030 this figure is planned to double. Sergei Shishkarev expects that the Korsakov port will fully serve all oil and gas projects on the island in terms of equipment delivery, economic development, including at the expense of prefabricated cargo. They are also going to develop a tourism business here - to start accepting small cruise ships that will work on Sakhalin, Kamchatka, Kuril Islands, the businessman said.

As of April 2024, the Korsakov port is the largest on Sakhalin, it receives up to 80% of cargo in the region. The port owns 14 lifting cranes, 6 berths. The reconstruction of the seaport will cost about 15 billion rubles. The authors of this project call it a multifunctional deep-sea hub with wave protection structures of a full profile and a container terminal. Work on updating the Korsakov port will be carried out jointly with the state corporation Rosatom, Sergei Shishkarev said in April 2024.[1]
