2024: Introduction of a range of reed relay-based security sensors

Holding "Roselectronics" State Corporation Rostec has created a line of security sensors based on reed relays. Devices are installed on the doors of houses, shipping containers, distribution boards or transformer substations and signal accidental or intentional opening. The use of reed relays as part of alarms made it possible to increase the service life of sensors and reduce the time of their operation. Roselectronics announced this on May 2, 2024.

These alarms were developed by the Ryazan Plant of Ceramic Metal Devices - one of three enterprises in the world that has mastered the production of magnetically controlled sealed contacts - reed relays. The sensors are designed to monitor the closure of doors and gates of houses, hangars, shipping containers and other metal and wooden structures. The detector is integrated into the existing monitoring and security system and sends a signal when the door is opened or shifted.

The use of reed relays made it possible to increase the service life of alarms to 5 billion trips and reduce the response time to 2 milliseconds compared to similar devices on open switching contacts.

RZMKP is traditionally a supplier of reed relays, which are then used by Russian and foreign manufacturers to produce finished products. Under the conditions of sanctions restrictions, the company is actively introducing final products into production, which allows to reduce their price and reduce delivery times. We plan that the new alarms will be used primarily for the equipment of railway relay cabinets in order to combat their unauthorized opening, and we expect to start the first deliveries this year, "said Sergey Maksimov, General Director of the RZMKP.
