JSC SverdNIIchimmash specialists will develop and manufacture a metering device for the Breakthrough project, which is being implemented in Seversk at the site Siberian Chemical Plant (JSC SKH, Fuel Division of the State Corporation Rosatom). The work will be carried out as part of RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT the safety analysis of the use of nuclear fuel for nuclear reactors of various types, which provides for the development and manufacture of a full-scale layout of a metering device. The equipment will be developed and manufactured on the basis of domestic components and software and will allow replacing imported analogues. The project will be implemented in five stages - from design development to the introduction of a dosing device into the state register of measuring instruments in 2025.

It is worth noting that the most important parts of the metering device - the weighing platform and software - will be developed and manufactured at SverdNIIkhimmash JSC. The manufacture of other units of the dosing device will take place under the author's supervision of our specialists at the production sites of partner enterprises, - said Yevgeny Matusov, Deputy General Director of SverdNIIkhimmash JSC for design work.

The dosing device is designed to prepare samples of powders of nuclear fission materials (uranium dioxide, plutonium dioxide) in the production line of uranium-plutonium fuel tablets for a VVER-type reactor. The technical requirements for the accuracy of the device are very high.
