The western ERP system operated by KuibyshevNitrogen based on the Oracle solution was introduced more than 10 years ago and, according to company representatives, no longer met the organization's tasks, its development was labor-intensive and hindered further automation. In a short time, it was necessary to transfer all key business processes to a new system that has fault tolerance, performance and meets the requirements of the law.

During the project, K2 Tech specialists automated key business processes, taking into account the specifics of the enterprise and the continuity of production. In total, 9 subsystems of the corporate information system were put into operation: Management of NSI (regulatory reference information); Procurement and warehouses; Sales and delivery; Production; Accounting and cost calculation; EAM (Asset Management); Personnel accounting and payroll; Accounting and rationing of PPE (personal protective equipment) on the basis of 1C:EHS; UWEDO (legally significant electronic document flow).

To implement the project on fully domestic software and hardware products and solutions, K2 Tech designed and implemented a dedicated IT infrastructure from scratch: a data storage system; compute resources for virtualization, backup storage, and databases.

The transition from the historical system to 1C was carried out without parallel work in two systems during pilot operation. With this approach, in order to eliminate the risks of disrupting or reducing the efficiency of business processes, it was necessary to take into account in advance all the factors necessary for continuous production in the new system. As a result, the chosen approach made it possible to save resources and time for the transition, noted in K2 Tech.

According to him, thanks to the experience of KuibyshevAzot specialists in replacing the previous ERP system, the qualifications and involvement of employees of the enterprise, as well as the expertise of K2 Tech specialists and the involvement of designer supervision by 1C, these tasks were achieved, stability and operational manageability are ensured, and the enterprise continues to work on the domestic ERP system.

According to K2 Tech, the implementation made it possible to simplify its maintenance and reduce the cost of ownership by unifying business processes and increasing the fault tolerance of the system. An additional effect was the easy mastering of the system by employees thanks to the flexible settings of the user interface of solutions on the 1C platform.

According to Igor Zeldets, Deputy General Director for Business Development of K2 Tech, the company carried out implementation according to its own methodology, according to which each automated business process was analyzed and controlled, which made it possible to ensure the timing and quality of work.
