In mid-May 2024, Evgeny Sluchevsky was appointed the new general director of Magnit. Before leading the company, he worked in it as director of the agricultural and industrial complex.

Evgeny Sluchevsky became the general director of Magnit instead of Anna Meleshin, who led the company since the beginning of 2024. The retailer's press service clarified that Meleshina will continue to work in the company as a managing director and member of the board.

The fact that Sluchevsky will become the new head of Magnit was previously reported by RBC, citing two sources familiar with the personnel reshuffle in the company. At the same time, the publication noted that the actual position of the CEO in the company has not been since 2019.
