2024: Product Announcement

At the end of May 2024, startup Iyo announced the "world's first audio computer" - fully wireless submersible headphones that do not require a smartphone to work. The gadget called Iyo One is equipped with a set of functions based on artificial intelligence.

The in-ear modules are endowed with a rather large platform with support for touch control. An unnamed 4nm processor with four processing cores is involved. It operates in tandem with 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. There is an integrated flash drive with a capacity of 32 GB, which can store a collection of music recordings. The equipment includes a Bluetooth controller, a Wi-Fi adapter with support for 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency bands, as well as a GPS receiver. The case is protected from moisture and dust according to the IP68 standard.

For Iyo One, modifications are provided with support for Wi-Fi only, as well as Wi-Fi and 4G/LTE. In the second case, the headphones will be able to connect to the Internet on their own, without the need to pair with a cellular device. The built-in AI assistant helps in solving various problems. In particular, the functions of a personalized trainer are supported. Translation between different languages in real time is possible.

The novelty is equipped with an active noise cancellation system that provides high-quality sound in any conditions. There is voice amplification mode and surround sound support. The declared battery life on a single battery charge reaches 16 hours, but when using 4G communication, the indicator is reduced to one and a half hours (mobile data transmission is paid in accordance with the tariff of the cellular operator). As of the end of May 2024, the Iyo One is priced at $600 for the Wi-Fi version and $700 for the 4G modification.[1]
