2024: Automation of batch accounting of finished products

On June 4, 2024, Scanport announced the implementation of a project to automate batch registration of finished products at Elysium.

The company needed comprehensive automation of the finished product warehouse. Its area is 8,000 sq.m. It was necessary to organize batch accounting, simplify and speed up the main business processes, including the shipment of goods to customers.

At the time of the appeal, the company already used the 1C: ERP program. But all accounting operations in the warehouse itself had to be performed manually using paper media, which was time-consuming. To solve this problem, it was necessary to implement data collection terminals (shipping documentation) and a special mobile application for exchanging data with "1C."

The main requirements of the customer for the software: support for batch accounting and compatibility with the modified 1C: ERP accounting system.

For mobile accounting automation, we proposed to implement DataMobile the Online version application with maximum functionality. The customer purchased 35 licenses by subscription in the DMcloud cloud service and 35 Chainway terminals C61 for warehouse workers. These shipping documentations are equipped with a capacious 6,700 mAh battery (enough for 12 hours of continuous use) and a 2D scanner. barcodes They can be connected to the network Wi-Fi and mobile internet 4G withstand repeated falls on concrete from a height of 1.8 m.

Shipping documentation in conjunction with DataMobile Online significantly facilitates daily routine operations in the warehouse. Mobile software supports batch accounting and helps to control commodity movement from the moment of release to shipment. To clarify which batch the product belongs to, you just need to scan the barcode from the package. Other features of the application:

• work with any documents from "1C";
• Quick putaway, automatic reconciliation of planned and actual quantities
• Carry out batch inventories
• Create shipping documents directly on the shipping documentation

DataMobile Online communicates with 1C in real time. All changes in the application are automatically displayed in the "inventory."

As part of this project, we have integrated mobile software with the modified 1C: ERP program.

Thanks to the implementation of Chainway C61 and DataMobile Online software, it was possible to solve all the customer's tasks:

• Automate batch accounting at the finished product warehouse
• reduce manual labor, reassortment and errors due to the human factor;
• Simplify and speed up daily operations, including the transfer of batches from production to warehouse and the shipment of goods to customers.

The selected hardware and software completely suited the customer in functionality and helped improve the efficiency of business processes.
