The contract was signed using the funds of the National Welfare Fund (NWF) in pursuance of the order of the President of the Russian Federation to renew the civil fleet of Russia. It is planned that all electric power will be transferred to the customer by July 2026.

"Eco-cruiser-m" will replace the most common ships on the Russian inland waterways - the projects "" and Moscow"Moskvich." The characteristic appearance of existing projects will be complemented by advanced technologies: electric motors, optimized body contours, an energy-intensive system accumulators and a smart one. Unlike electronics diesel analogues, when moving, the new ship practically does not create noise and vibrations, there is no smell of recycled fuel, which provides passengers with completely new experiences from river walks, a different level of comfort. Up to 130 passengers can be accommodated on board the vessel with convenience.

The NWF program also provides construction for the subsequent leasing on preferential terms of 260 ships in 2024-2028, including 16 Ekobasov and 6 Ekokruzer-m. The total investment in the project is 231 billion, rubles of which 136 billion rubles are from the NWF, 10 billion rubles from the federal budget and 85 billion rubles from borrowed funds. financing The implementation of the investment project will contribute to the renewal of eco-friendly the fleet and an increase in the volume of water transportation, the transport development of competencies in the field of shipbuilding, as well as the achievement of technological independence of the transport complex. countries

Sitronics recalled that in March 2024, GTLK entered into an agreement with Emperium under the NWF program for the construction of 8 passenger electric ships of the Ecobas model. It is expected that all of them will be delivered by GTLK until the navigation of 2025.
