2024: Completion of the implementation of video analytics of underground equipment

At one of the Norilsk Nickel mines, the project "Analytics of the work of mining equipment (self-propelled drilling rigs and anchor installers) based on computer vision, telemetry and artificial intelligence" was completed. The developer of the solution was Datana, which announced this on June 10, 2024.

During the project, for ten months, several teams developed a software and hardware complex for monitoring and analyzing underground mining operations and tested it on a dedicated fleet of equipment. Datana's solution has shown the best accuracy and potential for further replication.

For us, this was the first project in the underground mine, and we are very glad that our competencies and technologies created for other conditions have shown their effectiveness here too.
