2024: 'Favourite Trade' bought'Sphere-Pharm'

On June 19, 2024, it became known that Favorite Trade acquired the Sphere-Farm pharmaceutical complex in the Kaluga Region for 1.4 billion rubles. The initial cost of the enterprise at the auction was 2.1 billion rubles, but it was reduced to 1 billion rubles.

Sfera-Pharm was put up for sale in December 2023, after declaring the legal entity bankrupt in 2023. In addition to Favorite Trade, JSC, Pharmasinthesis Avtopark LLC and CapitalGroup LLC fought for the lot, but their proposals were lower.

Favorite Trade acquired the Sphere-Farm pharmaceutical complex

The acquired facility includes a complex of buildings with an area of ​ ​ 17.7 thousand square meters. m, land plots with a total area of ​ ​ 3 hectares, specialized equipment and production lines for the production of medical solutions. The complex includes four lines for the production of glucose, dextrose, amino acids and peritoneal dialysis solutions.

The bankruptcy procedure for Sphere-Pharm began in July 2018 at the request of the state corporation Vnesheconombank, to which the company owed 4.1 billion rubles. For several years, the company tried to conclude an amicable agreement, but in 2023 it was again declared bankrupt.

Favorite Trade intends to use the capacity of Sphere-Farm to expand its presence in the pharmaceutical market. This purchase will allow the company to increase production volumes and enter new market segments.[1]
