Education

In 2003, Olesya Starzhinskaya graduated from Rostov Medical University with a degree in surgeon. She received additional education in health and public health organization and management in medicine.

Career

2004-2021

From 2004 to 2005 worked as a pediatrician at the Southern District Medical Center of the FMBA of Russia.

From 2008 to 2018 She was the manager of a large international medical company.

2018-2020

From 2018 to 2019. led a private medical center.

From 2019 to 2020, she was the deputy chief physician for the polyclinic section of work at the ChUZ "KB" Russian Railways-Medicine "city Rostov-on-Don," headed the polyclinic at Bataysk station. She worked as an abdominal surgeon, was engaged in the treatment of abdominal diseases.

In 2021, Starzhinskaya was appointed deputy chairman of the government of the Arkhangelsk region in the social sphere. She also worked as an adviser to the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko.

2024: Appointment as head of Rostov Medical University

In June 2024, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko appointed Olesya Starzhinskaya, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Digital Transformation of Rostov State Medical University (RostGMU), as the new head of the university. She replaced Sergei Shlyk, who served as rector of RostGMU for 12 years.

Officially, the reason for his departure was not named, the media reported that the decision to dismiss him was agreed upon during a visit to RostGMU by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova and Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, who came to the opening of a children's innovative surgical center.

Starzhinskaya announced the completion of work in the government of the Arkhangelsk region in her Telegram channel on June 18, 2024.
