On June 19, 2024, Rosoboronexport, part of the Rostec state corporation, presented the Orkan multipurpose equipless boat. This is the basic platform for the creation of a marine robotic complex.

"Orkan" is 5.3 metres long. The vessel is capable of speeds up to 40 knots, or approximately 74.1 km/h. The range is at least 500 km, seaworthiness - up to three points. A target load for various purposes can be placed on board.

In addition, Rosoboronexport announced the Russian bookless boats BEK-1000 and Vizir. Both are about 7 meters long. The surface drone "BEK-1000" can carry up to 1 ton of payload for various purposes. In turn, the Vizier is capable of speeds up to 45 knots (83.3 km/h), and the range reaches 270 miles.

The trend towards the use of unmanned technologies in the planning and conduct of military and anti-terrorist operations today affected all environments, including surface and underwater. Following global trends, Russian enterprises have created a line capable of carrying various payloads of modern keyless boats, "says Alexander Mikheev, General Director of Rosoboronexport.

According to him, Rosoboronexport intends to offer foreign partners cooperation on the construction of network centric systems with integrated driverless boats and autonomous uninhabited vehicles, as well as on the introduction of the concept of conducting over-the-horizon operations using Russian robotic complexes. As noted by TASS, representatives of the countries of Southeast Asia and Africa became interested in domestic keyless boats. Rosoboronexport emphasizes that the Russian Federation can occupy a "worthy niche" in the world market of the equipment under consideration.[1]
