2024: Appointment as Head of the Ministry of Health of the Magadan Region

In early July 2024, it became known about the appointment of Elena Kuzmenko as the new head of the Ministry of Health and Demographic Policy of the Magadan Region. She replaced Ivan Gorbachev, who led the department for about 4.5 years.

It was an interesting and very intense period in my life, filled with both difficulties and interesting tasks. I have always strived to do my job in good faith and worked for the result. Although not all the planned was realized, in recent years good results have been achieved in the healthcare sector of the region, and I am sure that the projects launched will be successfully continued, "Gorbachev said, commenting on his resignation.

He recalled that in the Magadan region by the middle of 2024, a program for the modernization of primary health care is being implemented. Thanks to her and the national project "Healthcare," medical institutions have been overhauled and repaired in the region - from hospitals to paramedic points, new FAPs have been built in remote villages. Magadan received a modern oncology dispensary. A new maternity hospital is being built. Car equipment and medical equipment have been updated, purchases of modern devices continue. There is a planned campaign to attract medical specialists to the region, Gorbachev said.

The staff of the regional Ministry of Health thanked Ivan Gorbachev for his work and wished success at the new place of work. The ministry did not name the reasons for the change of leadership.[1]
