Education

Ivan Gorbachev graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technical University with a degree in Biotechnical and Medical Apparatus and Systems, and also studied at Moscow Medical College No. 1.

He received an MBA diploma from the State University of Management with a degree in Corporate Governance and Corporate Finance, and in 2015 he graduated from Moscow State University of Civil Engineering with a degree in Industrial and Civil Engineering. In August 2020, he noted that he was undergoing training under the professional retraining program "Management in Healthcare" of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

Biography

2020: Appointment to the post of head of the Ministry of Health of the Magadan Region

On October 1, 2020, the Governor of the Magadan Region, Sergei Nosov, signed a decree appointing Ivan Gorbachev as Minister of Health of the region. He replaced Sergei Chekanov, who resigned in May 2020. Chekanov headed the Magadan Ministry of Health since the fall of 2018.

Ivan Gorbachev served as Minister of Health and Demographic Policy of the Magadan Region from June 01, 2020, was appointed by order of the Governor of May 29, 2020 No. 262-rk.

Ivan Gorbachev previously worked for Schwabe (part of Rostec Group of Companies), where he was responsible for the development of the medical direction.

During a meeting of the government of the Magadan region, during which the appointment of a new head of the regional Ministry of Health was announced, Sergei Nosov drew attention to the fact that the number of cases of COVID-19 continues to grow.
