The Ukrainian insurance company "Oranta" started in July, 2007 implementation of the information system Insis, development of the Bulgarian company Fadata.
According to the chairman of the board of NASK "Oranta" Oleg Slipki, complex approach to solving of tasks of large insurance company, not overestimated requirements to transmission channels, flexibility of a system, availability of the web interface and an opportunity to solve a cycle of tasks of insurance became the main selection terms of the automated control system.
As representatives of Fadata said, the company will not include in a core of the system functional units of CRM, BI and workflow automation (for the solution of these tasks the company recommends to use external applications of other producers), and intends to focus on implementation of specialized insurance functions.
The solution Insis SOA Edition is based on the product Oracle SOA Suite and allows to cover core activities on all types of insurance. According to Oleg Slipki, a system will allow to solve 70-80% of problems which face managers. Besides, in the company calculate that with implementation of an automated system the problem of drawing up balance and other reporting will disappear. The project is going to be executed in 14 months. The information system should be during this time organized, necessary business process reengineering is carried out and the personnel are trained.
