2024: Product Announcement

On July 11, 2024, specialists from the Advanced Engineering School (PISH) "Intelligent Theranostics Systems" of the Sechenov University of the Ministry of Health of Russia presented the first Russian hemodialysis apparatus. The development was carried out in cooperation with the industrial partner of Rusat RDS JSC.

According to Yana Svetocheva, manager of the research and development office of the PCH and a graduate student of the Institute of Urology and Human Reproductive Health of Sechenov University, the creation of a domestic hemodialysis apparatus is due to the growing number of patients in need of this procedure and the lack of Russian-made devices on the market. Development began in 2023, and the device is scheduled to enter the medical device market in 2026.

Dmitry Telyshev, director of the Institute of Bionic Technologies and Engineering at Sechenov University, noted that PISH specialists participate in all stages of creating a new apparatus - from design development to clinical research. The goal of the project is to create a device that is more compact, simple and easy to use than existing counterparts.

In addition to the presentation of the hemodialysis apparatus, representatives of the PCH Sechenov University presented the results of cooperation with other universities and industrial partners.

In particular, a joint master's program "Additive Technologies in Medicine" was announced with NITU MISIS, developed by order of Science and Innovation JSC (part of the state corporation Rosatom). The start of the program is scheduled for September 2024. It includes the recruitment of the first students.

The results of interaction Saratov Tambovsky state with and technical universities were also presented. As part of the cooperation, faculty, graduate students and students of partner universities were trained under the Engineering Physiology program[1]
