According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, earlier, in May-June 2022, TATNEFT transferred control over Kama Tyres to Tatneftekhiminvest Holding, which coordinates the activities of the oil and gas chemical complex of the Republic of Tatarstan. The group includes Nizhnekamskshina factories, which produce passenger and light cargo tires under the Kama and Viatti brands, Nizhnekamsk Truck Tire Plant, which produces combined and solid metal truck tires, as well as agricultural tires.

According to Interfax, the financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, but market participants believe that the value of the asset could be several billion rubles. The move could also be linked to plans to upgrade capacity and increase the company's market share of high-tech tyres for various modes of transport.[1]
