DERJAVA has set itself the goals of modernizing the logistics of the enterprise and raising the quality of warehouse management to a new level. The AXELOT WMS system has become a means to achieve these goals. Out of the box, the solution had enough functionality to cover the needs of DERJAVA and successfully solve all the tasks. Axelot announced this on July 12, 2024.

DERJAVA is a large holding company that includes several divisions engaged in various types of activities. Among them are the distribution of food, household goods, hotel business and car dealerships.

Due to the rapid growth of the company's turnover and the expansion of the assortment, automation of warehouse processes and accounting has become a goal that will help DERJAVA company one step ahead of competitors in terms of service level. The company's specialists quickly decided on the vendor and the solution being implemented, as there was a positive experience of acquaintance with AXELOT software products. The project teams immediately began discussing the organization of the pilot implementation and the functional boundaries of the project.

"Pilot" started at the site in Yerevan. These are three separate warehouses in one territory, their total area is 3000 square meters. m., the size of each room is 1000 square meters. m. It stores food from well-known global brands and local manufacturers, which DERJAVA ships to customers. In total, about a thousand items of goods are presented.

The functionality of AXELOT WMS fully covered the needs of DERJAVA's business. During the project, only small settings were made, for example, a warning was added about the need to label goods in Armenian. The system also reminds line personnel working in WMS using data collection terminals that they need to stick a sticker or excise on the product, depending on the details of the received storage object. In the warehouse, address storage is organized with a ban on batch mixing and control of the number of storage facilities in the cells.

The project was implemented in just 42 days, all 5 stages. This is a very quick result for a pilot implementation and is made possible by several factors. First, the leadership of DERJAVA was consistent in decision-making, relying on two principles - the choice in favor of a standard functionality and the maximum number of digitized processes, and coordinated them with AXELOT specialists who built further work. Secondly, the DERJAVA experts involved in the implementation of the project were fully involved in the process and immediately checked the design solutions for applicability in the "fields," which made it possible not only to establish productive interaction between teams, but to make the decisions "made in the office" effectively applied from the very first days of use of the system.

The project also implemented integration between AXELOT WMS and the DERJAVA corporate information system. To solve this problem, the DATAREON Platform integration tool was used.

Thanks to AXELOT WMS, DERJAVA has implemented warehouse logistics management practices, increased the transparency of warehouse operations and the efficiency of use of resources and storage areas. All this guarantees timely deliveries and ensures a high level of customer service, including taking into account the planned growth in trade volumes. DERJAVA plans to replicate the solution to other sites.
