The National Archive of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has been using ELAR scanners for several years. The Archive houses about 1.5 million items of storage. The archive has a unique collection of newspapers published in pre-revolutionary and Soviet times. The earliest document is the Decree of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich to the governor of the Yakutsk prison D.A. Frantsbekov on sending exiled archers through Tobolsk to the Yakutsk prison, dated February 17, 1649. The surviving early funds include the Yakut and Aldan governor's chancellors, the Verkhnevilyuysky, Zhigansky and Olekminsky commissaries, containing documents from the beginning of the 18th century to the last quarter of the 18th century. Especially valuable and unique documents are digitized and can be accessed through the official website of the archive.
