IBM Power7 is the platform for "the Uniform Customer Base" of Rosbank

The IBM corporation announced contract signature on implementation of hardware-software IBM POWER7 platform in Rosbank. The new hardware-software platform will provide implementation of a new solution "the Uniform Customer Base" for maintaining and the analysis of uniform client information, optimizes accomplishment of a number of the existing analytical tasks. POWER7 platform will replace an old hardware platform for implementation of problems of storage and processing of corporate data. Implementation of a new solution will allow Rosbank to increase efficiency of sales of services and operational processes.

The implementation project of IBM POWER7 platform is executed by forces of the business partner of IBM, Croc company.

Rosbank - one of the leading Banks of Russia. As of October 1, 2010 equity of Rosbank was 44,056.79 million rubles, and total assets – 721,095.63 million rubles. The planned implementation of a new solution "the Uniform Customer Base" and, as a result, increase in amounts of data and loads of analytical applications led the management to the choice of the new hardware-software platform. The server POWER systems are the official standard in the head company of Rosbank, the Societe Generale group. Rosbank entering into this group stopped the choice on server POWER7 systems.

Basis of a hardware and software system of Rosbank of steel 2 of the Power System 770 server running the operating system AIX, IBM DB2 Enterprise DBMS for storage of analytical information, HACMP, IBM Websphere Application Server as the platform for analytical applications and IBM InfoSphere DataStage for unloading of data from sources, processing and loading of large volumes of data in storage.

A new system in commercial operation based on the updated POWER 7 platform is launched by Rosbank in the 4th quarter 2010. The created system step by step will be unrolled for more than 1.5 thousand users of Rosbank in the territory of the whole country.
