The S400 is based on the previous S300-2 model and has a high level of localization. One of the key advantages of the model is improved hardware, which provides even greater print accuracy. The printer can operate at high speed, reaching a performance of up to 0.8 cubic meters per hour. The technology makes it possible to create buildings up to four floors high right on the foundation, and the S400 work area is 17 x 11 x 10 meters.

Construction 3D printing at Skolkovo is developing rapidly: in just two to three years, the number of startups in this area has increased several times. The S400 printer is an important step in the transition to using 3D printing for multi-storey construction, improving productivity and reducing the construction time. Similar projects supported by Skolkovo will be in maximum demand by the market in the coming years, said Yuri Khakhanov, Director of Science-Intensive Technologies and Innovation Economics for the Urban Environment of the Skolkovo Foundation.

This 3D printer is compatible with cement and gypsum mixtures, including high strength and moisture resistant compositions. The printer has high mobility and autonomy. It is easily disassembled into modules 3 meters long and can be installed directly on the construction site without reference to the foundation, which allows construction work to be carried out in remote and inaccessible places in 24/7 mode.

The design of construction printers, mass-produced by AMT, is being improved. The 400 series is not only a printer model with its characteristics and dimensions, but also a version of hardware, drives, software. The company constantly engineers equipment, improving a new, dynamically developing construction method. Three 400 series printers are already operating at construction sites. The height of the buildings is just over 10 meters, said Alexander Maslov, General Director of AMT.
