ReShield Terra DSS under the control of PORAIDIX 5 is implemented at the Pacific State Medical University. Raidix announced this on July 23, 2024.

Within the framework IT infrastructures DSS will ensure the functioning of the complex virtualizations to ensure the operation of the main information systems.

In preparing the implementation, the engineers system integrator RSi carried out a survey of the current infrastructure of the University, calculated the potential loads and the required volume. As storing information a result, a hardware and software complex based only on the Russian components was designed. In particular, a two-controller DSS ReShield Terra NX8224SS5 running PO RAIDIX 5 was introduced.

The DSS system is connected to iSCSI virtualization servers, and the array also provides access via NFS and SMB file protocols. The project uses both solid-state SAS drives and capacious SAS HDD disks with additional data caching on SSD drives.

RSi notes that the customer has received a reliable and fault-tolerant data processing infrastructure created on the basis of domestic solutions, which ensures the uninterrupted operation of information systems in a virtual environment.
