2024: Product Announcement

On July 25, 2024, it became known that Russian specialists presented a new development in the field of countering unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Cobra complex, created to detect enemy FPV drone operators, is being prepared for pilot combat operation in the special military operation (SVO) zone.

According to RIA Novosti, information about the new device was provided by the developer of the Volnorez mobile electronic warfare system (EW) Stanislav, whose full name was not disclosed for security purposes. According to him, "Cobra" is able to determine the calculation signals of UAV operators and their repeaters, displaying the coordinates of targets on the map in real time.

A feature of the new complex is its compactness and mobility. Externally, the device resembles a pocket game console like PSP, which provides convenience and ease of use. This form factor allows the Cobra operator to quietly use the complex in the field.

The developer emphasized the relevance of this invention, noting that UAV operators are among the highest priority targets on the front line. At the same time, their detection by traditional methods is a significant difficulty.

After the completion of pilot combat operation in the zone of a special military operation, it is planned to finalize the system taking into account the experience gained. In the future, it is planned to launch serial production of the Cobra complex for wide use in the armed forces.

The new development is a continuation of the line of Russian UAV countermeasures. The previously created Volnorez system has already proven its effectiveness in combat conditions, successfully protecting military equipment and personnel from attacks by Ukrainian drones.[1]
