Advisor to the Scientific and Technical Center of IT "ROSA" on PR Vladimir Zykov notes that the use of tokens increases the level of information security of both users and information systems in general. As part of multifactor authentication, SMS code is often used, but in this case there is a potential risk of interception of the message. Therefore, the physical device provides higher reliability.

Zykov says that "Russia is at the forefront of these technologies." Tokens are actively used in corporate automated systems for authentication, authorization and electronic signature. In addition, tokens are used by individuals and self-employed for electronic signature, for example, in the process of submitting tax reports.[1]
