2024: Bankruptcy
In early August 2024, it became known that the Moscow Arbitration Court declared Pavel Korchagin, owner of the Tambov oil trader LLC Transservice Trading House, bankrupt. The total amount of his debt is almost 2 billion rubles - a procedure for the sale of property has been introduced against him.
Korchagin's bankruptcy application in August 2023 came from Avtotorgbank with claims in the amount of 408 million rubles. Subsequently, several more creditors appeared in the case, and Korchagin's total debt exceeded 1.9 billion rubles. According to the Kommersant newspaper, in September 2023, the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced the initiation of a criminal case against Korchagin on suspicion of tax evasion on an especially large scale (paragraph "b" of part 2 of article 199 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to investigators, the head of the oil trader included false information in tax returns for 2018-2020, as a result of which the total amount of unpaid taxes amounted to 323 million rubles.
