2024: Transition to Red OS

The Government of the Amur Region is actively implementing measures to switch to the use of the domestic operating system "Red OS." As of August 2024, the system has already been implemented in the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the region, as well as in the Ministry of Project Management and Personnel Policy. According to plans, by the end of 2024, the domestic OS "RED OS" will be introduced in all regional executive bodies. As part of the final stage of the import substitution process, automation and optimization of server equipment are provided, the Ministry of Digital Development of the region reported.

To ensure the transition to domestic software, 1.5 thousand RED OS licenses have already been purchased. Previously, the share of Russian operating systems and office packages at automated workplaces in the Government of the Amur Region was less than 1%.

Before the start of the project, testing was carried out for compatibility both with external information systems and with the internal IT infrastructure of executive authorities. The transition to domestic software will significantly increase the technological sovereignty and security of the information infrastructure of the regional authorities.
