On October 19, 2021, the government of the Amur Region announced the appointment of Denis Zemnukhov as the new head of the regional Ministry of Digital Development and Communications. In this position, he replaced Alexander Kurdyukov, who in July 2021 died from injuries sustained at the camp site during the conflict.
The accused in this case is Alexei Shkarin, who is under arrest by October 19, 2021. A criminal case was initiated against him under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm" (up to 15 years in prison).[1]
