2024: Product Release

On August 21, 2024, Procept BioRobotics introduced the Hydros robotic system for the treatment of prostate cancer. The complex uses artificial intelligence algorithms to individually plan procedures taking into account the unique anatomy of each patient.

At the heart of Hydros is Aquablation therapy, which provides for excision of prostate tissues with a water jet. This technology avoids the use of high temperatures, which pose a potential risk to the patient. As a result, the likelihood of complications and the risk of erectile dysfunction are minimized.

When working with Hydros, the surgeon draws up an individual treatment plan that takes into account the anatomy of each specific patient. The AI assistant FirstAssist AI takes into account the data of more than 50 thousand performed aquablation therapy procedures. The FirstAssist AI tool is said to use advanced image recognition software to identify important anatomical structures and form an optimal treatment plan.

Advanced image guidance combines next-generation ultrasound and digital cytoscopy. The complex includes two adjustable high-definition touch screens. The intuitive program interface, as noted, greatly simplifies the operation. The very procedure of tissue excision by means of a water jet is carried out with the help of an ultra-precise robot.
