2024: DPC Lease IXcellerate MOS5

IXcellerate and ВсеИнструменты.ру signed a cooperation agreement. The company leased ten standard racks at the IXcellerate MOS5 (South Campus) data center. The guaranteed power of each rack is at least 6 kW. IXcellerate announced this on August 27, 2024.

Placement server of equipment at external sites is a long-term strategy of "ВсеИнструменты.ру." IT infrastructure hypermarket has more than 200 physical and more than 2000, virtual servers on which it is stored about 800 terabytes. data This is a powerful resource that supports the work of the federal sales network (the company is present in every fourth, city of Russia occupies about 600 thousand square meters of warehouse space and has more than 1000 points of export of orders). To ensure the smooth operation of all - IT systems and maximum availability of services for customers, the company needs reliable DPC partners who can provide the necessary number of stands and support growth retailer in the long term.

Since 2021, ВсеИнструменты.ру 's computing resources have been distributed among three sites within the capital region, but not all of the initially selected data centers have been able to provide opportunities for growth and expansion of the installation. In 2024, the hypermarket began to search for a new platform for IT infrastructure migration. The most stringent requirements were imposed on the applicant:

  • SLA in terms of availability of services at level Tier III (at least 99.98% in 24/7/365 format). This is a critical indicator for both online and offline resources of the company.
  • A small distance from other data centers located in the metropolitan area: this criterion is due to the requirement for the speed of interaction between servers. Customers should not notice a slowdown in the site even if one of the data centers fails.
  • Availability of certain telecom operators and access to cloud services: the hypermarket uses both its own and public clouds to optimize performance, scalability and cost balance.
  • Availability of the required number of racks, scalability, clear plans for the introduction of new capacities.
  • Availability of remote/smart hands and client premises, 24/7 access for authorized personnel, fast response to requests, as well as the types of PDUs used and the dimensions of the cabinets.

As a result of the tender, the choice was made in favor of the IXcellerate operator, who was able to guarantee compliance with all requirements with an optimal price offer.

The demand for a quality service in the data center market significantly exceeds the supply, and to find a data center that will not only be able to provide the right number of racks, but to support the scaling of the business in the long term, − the task is not trivial. We prefer to expand within the current data center rather than "rush" from site to site, and IXcellerate has given us this opportunity. In addition to digital growth, IXcellerate and I are united by a common value: a reference point for client happiness. We are also pleased with the service − the speed of reaction and the convenience of interaction through the client portal,
said Dmitry Deyev, Head of IT Infrastructure and Services at ВсеИнструменты.ру.

We understand how important it is for businesses to develop without encountering external restrictions on their way, and provide our customers with the opportunity to digitalize and develop IT infrastructure for many years to come. The planned capacity of the MOS5 exceeds 4,500 racks, in 2024 and 2025 new queues will be launched, which will significantly expand our capabilities. And this is only one of the data centers in the IXcellerate ecosystem. Our development plans have remained unchanged: the construction and launch of new sites are proceeding according to the planned schedule,
noted Andrey Aksenov, CEO of IXcellerate.
