MTS PJSC, digital ecosystem, on August 28, 2024 announced the deployment of high-quality voice transmission VoLTE (Voice over LTE) technology on the entire network on a federal scale - with the launch of VoLTE in the Nizhny Novgorod region, this technology became available in all regions of MTS presence.

As of August 2024, the share of VoLTE traffic in the total volume of MTS voice traffic in Russia exceeds 38%, and the total duration of conversations in the LTE network by the end of the half of the year increased by 6% compared to the same period in 2023.

The top 3 in terms of VoLTE traffic growth at the end of June 2024 included the Volga (+ 22.2%), Southern (+ 12.7%) and Ural (+ 9.8%) federal districts. The growth of VoLTE traffic is due to the modernization of the network and the further penetration of modern 4G devices.
