The Governor of the Tomsk Region Vladimir Mazur noted that improving transport accessibility is one of the priority tasks of the region, solved with the support of the President, the Government and private business. He stressed that the new terminal, built at the expense of private investors, will expand the geography of flights from Tomsk and open new directions both in Russia and abroad.

The founder of the AEON corporation, Roman Trotsenko, said that the new terminal will open up additional opportunities for the development of the region. It is planned that the terminal will become not only an important transport point, but also a transit stop for passengers traveling around the country. In the future, it is planned to expand the terminal in a northerly direction, which will double its capacity.

At the opening ceremony, the pedestal of the KA-25 helicopter, developed under the leadership of Nikolai Kamov, installed on the forecourt in front of the new terminal, was also presented.[1]
