2024: Plant opening

In August 2024, it became known about the launch of a new plant for the production of polymer pipes in the Republic of Tatarstan. Investments in the creation of production exceeded ₽500 million.

According to TASS, the company was opened by the RGK company in the village of Bogorodskoye. The plant specializes in the production of polypropylene corrugated pipes with a double wall, which are widely used in housing and communal services, construction and agriculture.

The project was implemented with the support of the Industrial Development Fund (FRP), coordinated by ВЭБ.РФ on behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The FRP provided a preferential loan of ₽215 million under the Development Projects program.

The production capacity of the new plant allows producing up to 6 thousand tons of products per year. The company has established mass production of polypropylene pipes with a double wall with a diameter of 160 to 1000 mm. The manufacture uses exclusively domestic raw materials - polypropylene manufactured by SIBUR.

In connection with the latest government decisions regarding the reconstruction and modernization of communal infrastructure and the need to annually replace engineering communications in the country at least 6% per year, the commissioning of our capacities will certainly have a positive impact on the industry, "said Lenar Gilmutdinov, General Director of RGK LLC.

Double-walled polypropylene corrugated pipes are used when laying drainage systems, storm water disposal systems, domestic and industrial effluents. Thanks to the double wall, the pipes have high strength and are able to withstand a significant soil load.

The first batches of the new plant have already been delivered for water utilities in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Ufa and Saransk. In addition, pipes are used in the construction of federal highways.[1]
