2024: Order distribution system survey among couriers

Napoleon IT, as part of a strategic partnership with logistics company Pony Express, conducted a comprehensive technical survey of the system for distributing orders between couriers. In early 2025, the company plans to complete the development of software functionality aimed at improving the stability of the system and its scalability, which will allow Pony Express to strengthen its market position. Napoleon IT announced this on September 17, 2024.

Pony Express is committed to improving the operation of its software complex for distributing orders between couriers. Updating the system will ensure its scalability and accept more orders from customers, which will positively affect financial performance and lead to the growth of the company.

As part of the partnership, Napoleon IT conducted a detailed technical survey of the system, focusing on four key aspects: analytics, code base, architecture and documentation.

The Napoleon IT team, as part of a technical survey, formalized user paths in the application, conducted technical analysis of program code, described the architecture of the software solution, and also conducted diagnostics of the security and scalability of the infrastructure. Based on this, a work plan was developed to increase the scalability of the system and a set of regulatory documentation was prepared to further expand the functionality.

After the completion of the technical survey, Napoleon IT began the development phase, which is scheduled to be completed in early 2025. During the work, it is assumed:

• Upgrading the infrastructure and back-end
• Implementing methods and practices to improve system resiliency
• optimising server capacity for scaling the complex.

Pony Express plans to further develop the software complex, within the framework of which the functionality of the system will be expanded in order to maintain the load with an increase in the number of orders. Dynamic routing of orders will also be added, which will allow you to take into account a large number of parameters (distance, weather, traffic jams, courier rating) and automatically assign an order to each courier, and upon completion make a payment.
