2024: Product Announcement

In September 2024, a presentation of the new river passenger electric ship "Moika 2.0" took place in St. Petersburg. The designer and manufacturer of the innovative vehicle was the Emperium shipyard, located in the Leningrad Region and part of the Sitronics Group.

According to Interfax, Moika 2.0 is an improved electric version of the previously existing diesel ship Moika. The new vessel has a compact size: length is 16.5 m, width - 4 m, height - 2.45 m. Due to its dimensions, Moika 2.0 has high maneuverability, which makes it the optimal choice for operation in the narrow canals of the Northern capital. The capacity of the vessel is designed for 40 passengers.

Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov noted the importance of introducing electric ships to improve the environmental situation and reduce the noise level in the city. He also announced the preparation of infrastructure for servicing new ships and the readiness of two charging stations. In addition, Beglov also announced the work on the creation of three more stations.

Managing partner of AFK Sistema and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sitronics Group Nikolai Pozhidaev emphasized the effectiveness of the operation of the new electric ship. "The ship can do at least a day with its charging, and at night, when it is no longer in operation, charge, then the next day go on a flight again," he said.

In 2024, Moika 2.0 will undergo water tests, and regular passenger traffic is scheduled to begin in 2025. The possibility of building two additional electric ships of this model by next year's navigation is being considered.

Sitronics Group, being a pioneer in the serial production of passenger electric ships in Russia, plans to significantly expand its production capacity. By 2025, the company intends to modernize the shipyard in Otradny by building a new boathouse, a stationary lifting and launching complex and additional workshops. In the future of two to three years, Sitronics Group expects to achieve a production volume of up to 40 ships per year at the facilities of its shipyards in Otradnoye and Perm.[1]
