Hemojenix has developed a Russian perilstatic pump

With grant support from the Agency, reverse engineering of the perilstatic pump was carried out to pump blood and its components.

This pump is used in medical institutions to ensure stable operation of devices for automatic plasmopheresis and thrombopheresis, glycerolization and deglycerolization of donated blood.

A fundamental feature of the pump developed within the framework of the grant project is the implementation of the peristaltic principle of operation - during rotation, the rollers squeeze the flexible tube, contributing to the suction of the medium through the discharge channel. It is also equipped with a servo controller for correct operation in the specified modes.

The competition for the selection of the contractor for the reverse engineering of the perilstatic pump was organized by the Agency in August 2023 at the request of Profit Farm. According to the results of the competition, summed up in September 2023, the Hemojenix company, specializing in the development, production and supply of equipment and consumables for blood collection services, was recognized as the winner.

The victory in the competition of the Agency for Technological Development was evidence of high confidence in our company, which inspired and at the same time assigned great responsibility for the quality of the work that was to be completed, - said Dmitry Dvortsov, director of Hemojenix.

During the project, Hemojenix specialists got acquainted with the sample of the perilstatic pump, studied all its components and their materials. The specialists selected substitutes for components that exceed the sources in terms of reliability, built digital models of pump parts and converted them into design documentation. Based on it, prototypes were made that passed a full cycle of bench tests and testing as part of an automatic apheresis device. At the end of the project, the design documentation was adopted by the Agency.

Thanks to the project we have completed, domestic medical institutions will be able to replace imported pumps with domestic products, at a cost lower than foreign ones, thus ensuring technological sovereignty in this important area, added Dmitry Dvortsov.
