The TOLLTEC company provided the new development in the field of the intelligent transport systems (ITS) – the software of IntellectTraffic v.1 (Intellekttrafik version 1) intended for control automation by traffic on automobile trunks and city streets. IntellectTraffic is completely Russian development and meets all requirements imposed to systems of this sort that is confirmed with the certificate of GOST P, says TOLLTEC.
The principle of work of software of IntellectTraffic consists in the data collection and processing received from different sources: detectors of traffic flow, stations of meteorological observation, systems of automatic detection of incidents, control systems of the high-speed mode. On the basis of data retrieveds the program offers versions of solutions for effective management of traffic flows which is exercised by means of traffic lights, the road signs of variable information (SVI), multiposition pointers of variable information and the board of variable information (BVI). For program management the manual, semi-automatic and automatic modes are provided.
The main features of IntellectTraffic are the modularity of creation and use of open technologies at its development. Thanks to modular creation of IntellectTraffic flexibly adapts to specific conditions of application. It allows to connect new peripheral equipment with the minimum costs, to expand a scope of the automated objects, to optimize the principles of work of software during operation that is one of the key requirements imposed to elements of intelligent transport systems emphasized in TOLLTEC.
The modules IntellectTraffic have own program interfaces that allows to use their functionality in the adjacent systems, providing creation of the integrated services. In particular, information on real traffic flow can move on an input of a system of modeling of traffic flows, and cartographic information can be displayed on the page of the Internet portal for drivers, explained in TOLLTEC.
Besides, IntellectTraffic is architecturally not tied to the specific database management system (DMS) and can use both proprietary, and open platforms depending on information policy of the customer. Now the version of the program which is based on Oracle DBMS and the WebLogic application server is delivered.
During creation of software of IntellectTraffic development tools, technologies of routing of messages in a system, the cartographic module and managing subsystems were used. As the basic operating system for servers of a system Linux is used. Also are a part of basic software of a system: development environment Adobe Flex, Adobe BlazeDS, framework of OpenScales, GeoServer, Spring Framework, Hibernate, manager of messages of Apache ActiveMQ, etc.
TOLLTEC delivers IntellectTraffic as basic software for the automated control system for traffic (DD ACS). According to TOLLTEC, ASU DD can include:
- management subsystem traffic, including a complex technical and software of an ACS of DD and technology communication, operations control rooms (CCP), the road controllers (RC);
- subsystem of information support of participants of traffic, including support with the road signs of variable information (SVI), multiposition pointers of variable information, the board of variable information (BVI);
- subsystem of collecting and registration of information on structure and intensity of traffic, including detectors of collecting and accounting of data on traffic; a subsystem of a security alarm (on linear objects), including sensors, processing system and information displays;
- subsystem of meteorological providing, including the automatic road meteorological stations (ARMS) with a necessary set of sensors;
- subsystem of technology communication and interaction with operational services, including a data transmission system based on an optical transport network, using modern solutions on the organization telephone and high-speed data transmission;
- subsystem of the abnormal and call communication, including columns of the abnormal and call communication and a management system; a video surveillance subsystem, including video cameras and processing system and information displays; power supply subsystem (power supply of the equipment of an ACS of DD and technology communication).
As of the end of 2010 installation, setup and debugging of the equipment on the belt road (BR) in St. Petersburg is performed. After completion of this process, software of IntellectTraffic will be started in the test mode. On this section IntellectTraffic will manage 37 LED boards, nearly 400 signs of variable information, to collect and process information from 350 detectors of traffic flow, 30 meteorological stations located on the route. Will be available to the operator to viewing the image from 86 video cameras by means of the integrated video surveillance subsystem.
In the whole IntellectTraffic provides more than 20 special modes of automated management of traffic considering all possible situations: difficult weather conditions, the complicated movement, road accident, jams on entrances and congresses, etc. Each such mode is a separate algorithm which becomes more active irrespective of others and makes the contribution to management of traffic flow, developers explained.
