2024: Creating a Registry

In Russia, from September 1, 2024, all information about medical and sanatorium-resort organizations is included in the unified digital register. This decision was made by the government as part of updating the rules for maintaining the state register of the country's resort fund.

According to the press service of the Cabinet, the new register will be included in the unified state information system in the field of health care (Uniform State Health Information System). Responsibility for its conduct is assigned to the Ministry of Health of Russia.

Information about medical organizations and sanatoriums will be entered in the digital register

The updated register will contain comprehensive information on the natural therapeutic resources of Russian health resorts. It will include data on the characteristics of mineral waters, therapeutic mud, useful minerals with therapeutic properties, as well as specific mineral resources and therapeutic natural gases. In addition, the register will include information about the therapeutic climate, the presence of swimming pools, transfers and its own beaches in sanatorium and resort organizations.

An important addition will be the inclusion in the register of a list of medical indications and contraindications for sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation. This will allow citizens to get more detailed information about the possibilities of treatment and recreation in Russian health resorts.

The new rules for maintaining the register will be valid until 2030. They were developed in order to implement the provisions of the Federal Law "On Natural Therapeutic Resources, Therapeutic Areas and Resorts," adopted in 2023.

The creation of a single digital register is a continuation of the work of the Ministry of Health to streamline the activities of public and private sanatoriums, which has been ongoing since the mid-2000s. The first procedure for maintaining the state register of the resort fund was developed in 2007.[1]
