Career

2010-2017

In 2010-2013 worked in various positions of the Department of Special Economic Zones and Regional Development Projects. Ministry of Economic Development Russia

In 2014-2017 headed various departments of the Regional Development Department of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

2017-2021

In 2017-2018 worked as Deputy General Director of JSC Special Economic Zones.

In 2018-2020 served as Deputy General Director of Resorts of the North Caucasus JSC.

In 2020-2021 worked as Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry of the Komi Republic.

2021-2022

In 2021-2022 was the Director of the Department for the Development of Priority Territories of the Far East and the Arctic of the Ministry of Eastern Development of Russia.

In 2022, he became Director of the Regional Development Department of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

2024: Appointment as Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic

At the end of September 2024, Vitaly Altabaev was appointed Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic. The corresponding order is signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Vitaly Altabaev will oversee the issues of attracting investment, public-private partnership, digitalization, innovative policy and international relations at the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East.

Vitaly Altabaev was appointed deputy head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East instead of Anatoly Bobrakov, who resigned from the department at his own request. The new place of work of Bobrakov by September 25, 2024 is not called.

To the specified date in the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East four deputy heads work:

  • first deputy Gadzhimagomed Huseynov;
  • State Secretary - Deputy Minister Pavel Volkov;
  • Deputy Ministers Elvira Nurgalieva and Vitaly Altabaev.[1]
