2024: Work stoppage, employee termination

On September 25, 2024, it became known that one of the oldest Russian online electronics stores, Плеер.ру, had stopped working. According to the information available on the specified date, offline points are closed, and many employees are dismissed "one day."

According to the Shopper's resource, one of the customers of the Плеер.ру store, who tried to issue a return for the equipment purchased there, said that the point at the Avtozavodskaya metro station in Moscow had ceased to serve customers. According to the interlocutor of Shopper's, who used to communicate with the founder of the Плеер.ру service Alexei Konashev, he deleted the correspondence and accounts on social networks. On September 25, 2024, when trying to purchase goods on the Internet site, a notification is displayed as follows:

On September 24, 2024, several announcements by Плеер.ру managers about job search appeared in the HeadHunter database. All of them, as they say in the resume, worked in the online store for more than five years. What exactly is the reason for the termination of work is not specified on the Плеер.ру website. According to Shopper's sources, Konashev is considering the possibility of creating a full-fledged marketplace on the basis of his site. As part of this project, commissions "below the market" are assumed for all sellers and special commissions for large partners. In addition, the company does not intend to charge a commission for storage of goods and delivery from the warehouse. One seller will be given the opportunity to work from several legal entities. The option of organizing wholesale sales through the marketplace is also being considered.[1]
