2024: Construction of the resort for 2 billion rubles
In September 2024, it became known that the construction and modernization of the infrastructure of the Gubakha ski resort is actively continuing in the Perm Territory. The project with a total cost of ₽2 billion provides for the completion of work by 2027. This large-scale tourist facility is aimed at developing all-season outdoor activities, which will increase the tourist attractiveness of the region.
According to TASS, the operator of the Novaya Gubakha tourist complex received financing in the amount of ₽1,6 billion from VTB Bank, which supports the development of sports and tourism infrastructure. With these funds, it is planned to build two new hotel buildings with an area of 2.5 thousand square meters. m, 20 cottages with a total area of 2.9 thousand square meters. m, as well as update and modernize the existing infrastructure of the resort. By 2027, new restaurants and cafes, an educational ski slope, a rope park, a skating rink with an equipment rental point and a bath complex will appear on the territory of the complex. The resort area will occupy about 180 hectares.
In 2023, Gubakha attracted more than 180 thousand tourists, and it is expected that the attendance of the complex will increase by 30% annually. According to Timur Gabdullin, General Director of Novaya Gubakha LLC, the growth of domestic tourism in Russia requires the creation of high-quality infrastructure facilities that can have a positive impact on the regional economy.
The creation of a year-round sports and tourist complex began in 2022. Initially, the completion of the modernization was planned for 2025, but now the deadlines have been extended until 2027. The project provides for the development of the eastern slope of Mount Krestovaya, where new ski slopes and tourist eco-trails will be created. It is also planned to build hotels in the category of at least three stars, which will provide a comfortable stay for guests of the complex at any time of the year.[1]
