2024: BI.Zone SOC Consulting service launch

BI.ZONE introduced the BI.ZONE SOC Consulting service. The company announced this on October 7, 2024.

The service will allow companies to reduce the timing of launching an internal SOC and training its employees by 2-3 times. The reduction in financial costs compared to the independent launch will be about 25-30%. An assessment of the effectiveness of the existing SOC company and optimization of its work are also available.

According to BI.ZONE, the average launch time for an internal SOC in the company is 1.5-2 years. One of the reasons for such time costs may be the lack of binding of expertise in boxed solutions (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, etc.) to SOC workflows and the peculiarities of the infrastructure of the company purchasing these solutions. This creates a large stream of false positives and does not give security professionals enough data to make decisions. Creating relevant scenarios for detecting incidents and building workflows can take months and require the involvement of narrow-profile expert analysts.

As part of the BI.ZONE SOC Consulting service, BI.ZONE specialists will help to create a monitoring center from scratch or improve the operation of the existing SOC.

There are three options for providing the service: creating an SOC from scratch, assessing maturity and upgrading the existing SOC, and focusing expertise for SOC in-house.
