2024: Building digital infrastructure

MTS PJSC has deployed a digital infrastructure for a solar power plant in the village of Samashki, Achkhoi-Martanovsky District, Chechen Republic. About 10 kilometers of fiber-optic communication line connected the solar park with the infrastructure of the network organization and the System Operator of the Unified Energy System, regulating the operation of the Russian energy complex. MTS announced this on October 8, 2024.

The solar power plant in the village of Samashki is equipped with a remote monitoring system, sensors and video surveillance. The peculiarity of this project is also that the panels are equipped with a tracker system for tracking the sun. This means that they change their position so as to get more sunlight, which allows them to generate 25% more energy. The MTS communication channel provides the transmission of data on the operation of the power plant: temperature, light, video from cameras. Based on this data, facility operators make decisions and remotely control the power plant.

In addition to the fiber optic communication line, MTS has deployed a secure virtual network at the power plant control center. This solution allows you to secure the operation of the energy complex from external interventions.

The capacity of the power plant in Achkhoy-Martan district is 9.2 MW. Electricity generation is projected at 13 million kWh per year, which will ensure an annual reduction in carbon dioxide emissions by 4.5 thousand tons. The generated electricity will go to the unified energy system of the region, and then will be distributed to consumers. The investor and the general contractor of the project are the structures of the Hevel company.

This is the second solar power plant built by our company in the Chechen Republic. The first was the Naurskaya SES with a capacity of 5 MW. The commissioning of solar generation facilities contributes to improving the quality and reliability of power supply to consumers and preserving the natural and climatic conditions of the region, "said Anton Usachev, General Director of Hevel Regional Generation.
